What is the Day Training Activity Center?
Assists disabled individuals in numerous life skills training opportunities
Both community and facility based
Paid work component
Training to assist the person to become as independent as possible
What type of services does the DTAC offer?
A variety of activities and services including:
Employment opportunities
Volunteer activities
Functional life skills instruction
Self-help training
To achieve these goals DTAC utilizes:
Retail shopping establishments
Supermarkets
Restaurants
Recreational and leisure pursuits
Educational opportunities
Direct services with a staff to client ratio that averages 1 to 8
Who are our clients?
Must be at least 18 years of age
Intellectually / Developmentally disabled
Ambulatory
Ability to attend to self-care needs
Multiple disabilities
Autistic
